  1. THE LAW OF THE TRAPEZOID

  5. Of central importance to OIT is the study and cataloging of the 
  6. subjective/objective impressions and manifestations which occur within an 
  7. "angular" environment. By the term "angular" I am specifically speaking 
  8. of the ratios of both pi and phi. These may come in the form of physical 
  9. planes, freqency ratios (resonant forms),measured electrical field 
  10. phenomena, and visual representations. 
  11.   
  12. Why are these ratios important? Dr.Anton LaVey summed it up via his LAW 
  13. OF THE TRAPEZOID which is: 
  14.   
  15.                     "All obtuse Angles are magically harmful 
  16.                      to those unaware of this property. The 
  17.                      same angles are beneficial, stimulating, 
  18.                      and energizing to those who are magically 
  19.                      sensitive to them." 
  20.   
  21. By environment I mean the AREA OF INFLUENCE by which the various 
  22. representations of the angles (visual,audio,field phenomena) are able to 
  23. act within. 
  24.   
  25. What exactly happens when an individual enters a angular environment? It 
  26. is very apparent that a polarity is produced within the individual. This 
  27. is in essence what the LAW OF THE TRAPEZOID describes. Some are attracted 
  28. to the environment and others are repelled. Along with attraction comes 
  29. mental imagery that tries to encompass infinite concepts. Those who are 
  30. repelled go to the opposite with imagery that has a profound morbid aspect 
  31. connected to it. Feelings of impending death on a individual and species 
  32. wide scale, theirs is a finite image. These are generalizations, I have 
  33. seen extremes with both polarities. The bottom line is that there is an 
  34. effect produced, no one really understands the actual nature of the 
  35. effects, nor its boundaries, we will find out. 
  36.   
  37. Most certainly each individual has felt the effects of an angular 
  38. environment. Many symbols incorporate angular features into their motif, 
  39. and most certainly we have all felt moved by particluar music forms in a 
  40. manner falling into the above description of what happens in a angular 
  41. environment. Haunted house phenomena is most common in homes that have 
  42. many angular shapes both inside and out. Angles produce the COMMAND TO 
  43. LOOK which then motivates into a polarity which can be predictable. The 
  44. ability to unlock the secret of the angles will allow a more precise 
  45. refining of its exhilarating -and thus inspiring- properties is a goal 
  46. that OIT has been working on with some degree of success. We will 
  47. continue to refine these findings to create a methodical approach in 
  48. creating these environments.
